I just had to join this Newbie Blog Hop since I am about as new as it gets. I am so thrilled to be learning from the many amazing teacher bloggers out there, as well as share what I think will help others. So here it goes:

1.  what state you are in
I currently live in the Green Mountain State of Vermont.
2.  your current teaching position
I have been working in a small, rural school in Massachusetts. I teach 2nd and 3rd grade and will have   only 9 students next year. I can hear the gasps now! I feel very fortunate to work with so few students that I can really support each one individually.
3.  your teaching experience
I have been teaching for 4 years, but I have been working in schools for about 6 years. The first year was as a ELL tutor and the second was as a behavioral classroom assistant.
4.  when you started blogging
I began blogging at the beginning of this month. I am still getting acquainted with the whole process, but I love sharing what I know with others, as well as learning from them. I have learned so much more than I could have imagined.
5.  share a blogging tip / blogging resource
This post has so many great tips to support newbie bloggers. You just have to check it out!!

Wow 9 students how lucky are you? All class sizes should be low enough where we can spend more time with students. Just found your blog through the New Blog Hop.

Keep up the good work on your blog.

Amanda, Thank you! There are endless hours of fun to be had...it can be addicting to a point! :) I love and adore the fact that I only have 9 students. I can't imagine what it's like to have 20 students. After reading your recent post, I can see that your school is experiencing some major changes. Best of luck this school year!

I am one lucky duck to only have 9 students. They really should be. It's amazing how much you can support each individual student with those class sizes. Thank you for checking out my blog, I have to admit I love your blog name since I am a lover of everything football and sports! I am now a follower of yours.

Tammy, thank you for becoming a follower of my blog! I read all about you and noticed you have a significant drive to work. I drive about 45 minutes (one way). I don't generally mind it, but sometimes, when I want to get my classroom ready or just drop by the school, I wish it wasn't such a big to do (if you know what I mean). I am a new follower of yours now as well.
